Objectives

The idea of the MAP project was born with the triple objective of contributing to innovation of: - the governance and organisational models of cultural realities by activating of new ways of inhabiting and contaminating territories and involving communities. - the offer, born in the context of co-generation processes using practices, strategies and methodologies capable of making artistic products "relevant" and therefore decisive for large groups that are usually marginalised. - the experience by promoting the dissemination of competences among communities of reference and therefore the empowerment of audiences according to inclusive models derived from social theatre practices. The specific objectives can therefore be divided into the following three areas: - to encourage the acquisition of new competences by the internal staff of each partner organisation in the field of development and management of community projects through the languages of the performing arts. - to promote, through transnational cooperation, the 'upskilling' of young professionals in the field of social theatre. - to acquire artistic competences and soft skills and to build a new relationship with direct and indirect beneficiaries.

Background

The M.A.P. project was born as part of a broader innovation process that is leading the four partners to redefine and consolidate an active relationship with the territories and communities to make the cultural offer increasingly accessible, hybrid, and inclusive, to encourage the empowerment of the audience and the construction of (still unpublished) forms of cultural citizenship, proposing new open and participatory models of governance and favouring new ways of doing "experience." The four organisations, which have had previous experience of working together, decided to take advantage of this opportunity to both develop the competences of their internal staff and to strengthen their network by developing common practices and processes that have redefined the lexicon and methodologies of community dramaturgy through the exchange of good practice. Among the most recent and innovative acquisitions in the artistic and cultural field, the importance and diffusion of theatrical and performative methodologies and practices with a social declination have had at European level. It was therefore necessary to create a multipurpose environment in which techniques and languages could be shared.
