The project’s objectives were strongly linked to the selected ERASMUS+ priorities as they focus mainly on innovating VETand adapting it to the current labor market’s needs while working towards the inclusion of marginalized groups such as young NEET women and their access to fields of training and occupation that are usually less accessible, such as STEM subjects and digital design and innovation. The cooperation between the members of the partnership, local companies, and institutional stakeholders ensured the improvement of the quality of the training and allowed the development of new informal training curricula. Just as importantly, a significant part of the training program aimed at the acquisition of green skills that were put into practice during the design and realization of the final project work, which had to offer a solution to an environmental problem raised by one of the partner companies.
The general objective of our project was to improve the employability of NEET women in the fields of digital innovation and design related to the resolution of environmental problems. We wanted to experiment with a new training model dedicated to young NEET women sharing and stressing it together with a European partner with whom we could discuss and compare ourselves on the model, training methods, doubts, and results. We needed to model to the target group designed lessons and work challenges capable of increasing the on-site training required by the Italian and Slovenian productive sectors and upgrading their employability.
