Objectives

The project has innovated the tourism sector through the transfer of skills necessary for the creation of qualitative tourism offerings and tourism experiences that enhance territorial specificities. Specifically, the project made it possible to: -Increase the capacity of territorial co-programming between the public and private sectors. -Increase skills in digital marketing for the promotion of territories. -Disseminating methodologies to implement sustainable tourism.

Background

Tourism is currently witnessing a global revolution. This means that its weight, within the productive apparatus of our country and the European Union, has been growing over the past few years; it is necessary, for the continued growth of the sector, to transmit specific skills in management, marketing, public-private co-programming and sustainable tourism to the tourism sector in order to increase the capacity of the actors involved in the management of tourism supply and the implementation of experiences, including those who are called upon to apply them in geographically remote areas. The project has met the identified needs of the target groups through the transfer of specific skills to actors who play a crucial role in the creation of tourism offerings. Specifically, the skills transferred to municipal operators, associations and tour operators allows them on the one hand to be able to expand the range of services and experiential products made available to tourists/users and on the other hand to promote them online through digital marketing activities that can enhance sustainable tourism methodologies.
