The LANSES project aimed to: Create a platform for the exchange of best practices and experiences on the topic of social inclusion to strengthen the skills of social workers and trainers to effectively respond to the new challenges posed by the pandemic and the increasingly complex needs of vulnerable individuals (including addressing new vulnerabilities that had arisen). Identify practices within the network that could support the development of new competencies for future-oriented planning capable of networking all territorial competencies. Promote innovative approaches and tools to enhance the well-being of professionals and improve the quality of their professional practice in terms of greater effectiveness for the benefit of communities and local organisations. Develop international work skills on the subject and create a support and best practice exchange network among organisations that could support the innovation of their working methods.
Lanses came from a long reflection about the social crisis following the pademia and critical moment that society is still in nowadays and that is calling for a new paradigm in education and social intervention. We await a new beginning while living through an endless transition, sensing all the inadequacy of the paradigms that are fading away, without yet having a truly alternative model to interpret what we are called to think and do (knowledge in action). Hence the research work that Lanses allowed us to carry out: an in-depth reflection, starting from a comparison with some experiences that preceded and crossed the period of the pandemic, aiming to make proposals for innovation, on the competences that were necessary to support the processes put in place. Competencies that were already available, those that were brought into sharper focus and those that needed to be acquired.
