The DIGI.CREA-E project wanted to achieve an ambitious goal, namely to lay the foundations for the creation of a hub for innovation and creativity between a technology transfer center and a NGO, which work closely with cultural and creative enterprises, however, having very different visions. The project wanted to leverage the potential that culture and art have on society together with the emerging development of new technologies in the creative and cultural sector. In fact, the partnership has made skills in technology, entrepreneurship, art, creativity and social innovation complementary. The project took up the European challenge of improving the levels of digital skills among adults, integrating the creative world with the corporate world and thus improving the local and international network of the partners involved and other stakeholders. The project aimed to implement innovative practices and new ways of interacting with the public through innovative training courses on issues related to digitization and creative thinking. These, specifically, to outline an upskilling pathway aimed at perfecting creative and entrepreneurial skills in a digital key.
The Upper Adriatic Technology Park co-manages the Culture and Creativity Cluster of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and has noted, in recent years, important developments in the cultural and creative industries sector at regional, national and European level. For this reason, it considered essential to propose a project that would facilitate the creation of a center dedicated to innovation and creativity, thanks to which to expand the diffusion of digital technologies and creativity at a local level and in favor of beneficiaries with fewer opportunities. The coordinator has collaborated with La Periferica Cultura Contemporanea, having the aim of spreading art and culture more through new channels, such as those offered by enabling technologies. The project has combined creativity, technology, human resources and the community, directing them towards the establishment of new collaborations, new strategies and innovative and technologically advanced organizational models between art and business. The creation of new job opportunities, emerging professional skills and the birth of sustainable creative businesses have been the engines for cooperation between different entities and the structure of planning.
