Objectives

By implementing our project we wanted to achieve, and we believe we have planted excellent seeds, the following objectives: • Internalize and disseminate ecological rules in early childhood and primary school classes. • Develop in teachers, and consequently in children, the ability to explore while respecting virtuous behaviour. • Enhance healthy and sustainable lifestyles and models. • Recovery and recycling: reduce waste by giving objects that are not used another chance. The results obtained in the implementation of our project give us hope, having shown us that this is certainly one of the right ways to continue along.

Background

We wanted to respond to the need common to the entire planet for greater protection of the environment and for the containment of climate change. Humankind seems to be aware of it but still with insufficient awareness, unfortunately hampered by the profit regime which often seems to get the better of the environmental problem. For this reason, in our small way, it seemed necessary to start educating the young generations correctly, from early childhood, to protect the environment. A radical change in the cultural aspect of the problem is needed. For this reason, the Erasmus+ program seemed perfect for concentrating the commitment of cultural associations and educational institutions on working together to give a concrete, transferable and easily repeatable imprint to the new generations from early childhood, so that a new attitude can be fostered crucial cultural factor for the protection of our planet. Children in that age range are still free from socio-economic conditioning and, perhaps, the cultural aspect of the problem can put down deeper roots.
