1. to raise students’ awareness about the dangers and threats of the online medium; 2. to improve the students’ communication skills in English; 3. to improve intercultural learning and promote tolerance, inclusion, respect for other cultures; 4. to develop students’ soft skills – adaptability, effective communication, creativity, critical thinking and problem solving 5. to enhance the e-learning experience of the schools with new practices identified in different European schools.
The project, which brought together 3 different European schools, was born from the need to exchange ideas and good practices on online learning which became necessary during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as to raise students' awareness of the dangers and possible online threats. At the same time, we offered students the opportunity to meet their European peers, as they suffered from a lack of social interactions during the lockdown. In this context, it is very important to manage and monitor the cybersecurity of students, since they are at an age where they are not fully aware of all the threats present in the virtual space (cyberbullying, extreme challenges, cybercrime, harassment, privacy violations) . Finally, the project responded to the need of our schools to develop their European dimension and become part of the European education network, thus facilitating the implementation of future projects in the years to come, and keeping abreast of educational trends throughout the EU.
