Objectives

Through our youth exchange '' Climate changes, change it! '' We wanted to inform, educate and empower young participants to participate in activities that promote sustainable development and global sustainable development, make young people aware of how they are the architects of the future that awaits the world, of which practices to arm themselves to change the incessant advance of climate change, of how be the activists of tomorrow and have more awareness and knowledge of what is happening and how to reverse the course. Our specific objectives were therefore: 1. Introduce young people to green literacy and activities and educate them on the subject. 2. To sensitize young people to environmental protection by showing the problems caused by unconsciousness on the climate and the environment. 3. Increase the motivation and competence of young people to fight climate change and protect the environment by showing the right behaviors and good practices in terms of environmental protection. We wanted to involve young people in this process, but also to encourage intersectoral cooperation, edited by the whole society, which will contribute to sensitize and involve young people in a common action in thinking how to implement and engage their community once they return home and implement sustainable development in local communities. To achieve this goal, in the seven months of the project the Eco Intercultura South team worked on a greater orientation of young people to sustainable development, on awareness and the multidimensionality and connection of socio-cultural and natural components. and for the development of a sustainable community and society that is traditionally associated with coexistence with nature, work on the land and an almost personal food production, implemented on a small scale and which does not include large displacements and huge natural and non-renewable resources . By involving young people in information, promotion, practical workshops and activities, they have contributed themselves to the development of responsible attitudes towards nature in the world in which we live and a better understanding of the relationship between man and the environment. This was particularly evident in the outdoor workshops and in the work done by the participants on social networks to inform and disseminate information about a complete ecological process, from soil and seed preparation to distribution in the local community, to get to inform as many people as possible. possible about the attitudes to hold, about the need to be activist and active on the issue. In addition, we were able to spread the Erasmus programs in the community of Erchie live and on social networks. It was another of our goals and we are happy that many young people are now interested and are now eager to take part in youth exchanges and long-term volunteer projects in the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program. Other goals were to change the lifestyle of all of us starting with the participants. During our project we did not want to use plastic and to create the billboards and slogans to be used for the peaceful demonstration we used cartons that we asked the merchants of Erchie, cartons that would have been thrown away. One of our goals was in fact to make everyone understand, not just the participants that it is possible to recycle anything, to create something good from something that apparently looks like waste. Another goal that had to do with lifestyle is to choose a sustainable location in everyday life. In fact, the participants used drinking water in their accommodation and non-plastic bottles to be filled and put back in the fridge every time, plus they were asked to bring their own reusable travel bottles, this with the double aim of being sustainable and using. zero plastic and to encourage others to do the same. Another goal was to make everyone understand what green mobility is through the journeys undertaken by us. Thanks also to the cooperation with our partners, the participants arrived in Erchie, with the exception of the Turkish participants through carpooling, bus and train, and after giving them the reasons they too were happy to move in this way. Another goal was to make the participants understand why there was a menu that tried to be as sustainable as possible, from products to the use of plastic and paper. The products were locally produced at zero kilometer and neither plastic nor paper was used in the restaurant.
