"EntreRURAL - Stimulating Entrepreneurship in Rural" was an international project implemented under the Erasmus Plus program and within which a multilateral youth exchange was organized. The project, as its name suggests, was created with the ambition of showing and highlighting the advantages and potential behind areas mistakenly considered rural or peripheral. More specifically, to place at the center of debate and collective interest, the concept of how investing time and resources in these areas can lead to the creation of economic and social value that can benefit both local youth and local society as a whole. From these considerations, the key objective of the project, which was to promote entrepreneurial thinking and raise awareness of the potential of rural areas for career and personal development of young people. The project, through its activities and youth exchange, saw the achievement and fulfillment of the following specific objectives: - To stimulate the participants' entrepreneurial spirit, mentality and culture; - To share methods, experiences and tools and best practices to encourage rural youth to pursue entrepreneurial paths; - Address the challenge of rural depopulation and impoverishment by analyzing new ways to support young people and include them in social life; - Increase awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries, increase networking opportunities between participants and representative associations. The project also aimed to emphasize the importance of nonformal learning and knowledge of the Erasmus Plus program in relation to its priorities, among which, stood out, the promotion of equality, social cohesion, active citizenship, creativity and innovation as well as, in line with the theme of the project, the development of civic sense and entrepreneurship.
