After this long period of separation and physical distance, the young people and the youth workers who imagined this project believe it is important to offer the young people in our groups safe and structured opportunities to process this experience and to accompany them to come out of this phase of isolation. We want to help them to explore this new reality that is gradually taking shape, and give them the chance to rediscover a sociality based on solidarity, inclusion and respect. We want to create a space in which they can focus on their well-being and realise who they are and what they really want, and from there move on to meet others. An ecovillage is an intentional community designed through participatory processes to regenerate social and natural environments. We believe the context of the Torri Superiore ecovillage is the ideal place to reaffirm a sociality based on these values and in which the four dimensions of sustainability (ecological, economic, social and cultural) are integrated in a holistic approach. Therefore, we want to create a project that stimulates young people to explore and redefine their limits and constraints through creativity, clay manipulation and singing, while building on the ecovillage's experience in the fields of community building, solidarity and inclusive relationships. OBJECTIVES The objectives of the project are: - to create a safe space for the young people in our groups in which to process the experience of isolation during the pandemic; - to offer them creative tools to explore their personal limits and social constraints and improve their awareness and self-esteem; - build a group experience based on ecovillage values that enables young people to understand and promote a holistic idea of sustainability; - to offer young people an intercultural experience based on the values of solidarity, inclusion and respect; - to promote and improve the capacity of ecovillages to offer educational activities for young people at local and international level.
