Addressing political decision makers and stake holders the project therefore intends to make up for the lack of knowledge or disinterest in these sectors in regards to youth work and policies for young people and at the same time to push youth workers to a more active role in the design. of youth policies. The project is based on some priorities listed on the new EU Strategy 2019-2027: • To propose an innovative and more inclusive EU Youth Dialogue, with a focus on active policies; • To improve a cross-sector cooperation across policy areas, giving youth a voice in shaping EU policies, • To encourage young people to become active citizens and positive change for communities in and across Europe, inspired by EU values; • To improve the impact of policy decisions on young people through dialogue and addressing their needs across sectors. Aim of the project: to promote a renewed institutional awareness of the importance of youth policies through youth work as a growth tool for the European Union. Thanks to this Specific objectives: • To bring together young people and decision makers on different levels and to contribute on the development of a set of recommendations; • To promote the legal and regulatory recognition of the youth work figure at a European level; • To promote the participation of young people in the democratic life of the European Union; • To adopt innovative and new tools, in different countries, in the design and implementation of youth policies; • To promote the institutions' knowledge of the world of youth associations and youth workers' knowledge of the functioning of institutions; • To raise awareness about the knowledge and the achievement of one or more of the EU Youth Goals. Through the different activities that are thought for this project, we aim at raising awareness on new forms of active participation. The working plan general aim is to develop skills, knowledge and competences about youth policies, democracy and participation among participants. The use non-formal education methodology will favour a comfortable environment to get the best level of contribution from participants.
