The main goal of the project: to improve the ability of EPMC general education teachers to communicate and cooperate with pupils' parents, to involve them in solving emerging issues in the educational process. The project aimed to raise teachers 'psychological and communication skills with pupils' parents during the course abroad, to get acquainted with constructive methods of involving parents in the educational process. The goal was that the acquired knowledge would create conditions for improving the communication and mutual understanding between teachers and parents, reduce the stress experienced by teachers, reduce the negative attitude towards the school and teachers transmitted from the family, solve the problems of pupils' behavior and educational process in a timely manner and with the help of parents.
The main reason for implementing this project is the difficulties of communication between EPMC teachers and parents of pupil, growing parents’ hostility towards the school and teachers, and growing mutual misunderstanding. Some parents blame the teachers and the school for the problems of the educational process, the learning outcomes of their children that do not meet their expectations or the inability to communicate with their kids. The other side of the problem - 42% of parents were out of reach for teachers in September 2021: did not attend parent meetings, did not answer calls, ignored teachers’ attempts to contact. When teachers fail to achieve a constructive dialogue with parents, pupils remain affected: pupils’ behavior or learning problems are not solved on time, parents' negative attitudes towards teachers and school are taken over by pupils, decreases their learning motivation and the quality of education process, increases negative attitudes in classes.
