We wanted to acquire knowledge and competences on how to properly manage and implement international projects in order to strengthen the internationality of the school. The training was used as a strategic tool for the development of our school in relation to project management, creating an international school development plan.
One of the main challenges that the school faced was the lack of internationality and project management competencies. The school staff lacked the knowledge and skills on how to properly implement and manage international projects. The school has the goal of continuing its activities in the Erasmus programme, but feeling that there is a lack of knowledge and competence to properly implement the projects, the school decided to apply for a project that provides for project management courses in which it would gain the missing knowledge and experience in order to successfully continue participating in international project activities. We aimed to create a balanced system for the initiation, management and implementation of projects, to carry out new projects by involving as many school teachers as possible in the activities. We wanted teachers to gain intercultural competence and experience about different learning experiences in other cultural environments, the ability to understand cultural diversity.
