1. Find ways to stop deteriorating educational outcomes. It is very difficult for teachers, especially after distance learning, to find the right methods to motivate students and how to effectively close learning gaps. It is important for the organization to have a healthy social-emotional environment, which would help teachers find their own ways of motivation more easily and receive support from both colleagues and the administration in difficult situations. 2. Inclusive education poses many challenges, as the number of students with special educational needs is rapidly increasing. Therefore, it is very important to help teachers who are looking for an effective way to organize work in classes in a clearer, simpler way, in order to differentiate and individualize as much teaching as possible. 3. Improving the quality of lessons by transitioning to competency-based education, when the student himself is increasingly empowered in the classroom, when the teacher and student are cooperative in the educational process and together achieve a common result. Achieving this goal requires both new knowledge and close cooperation in a team, sharing experiences, methods, help, etc.
Marijampolės Sūduvos gymnasium has been dealing with deteriorating educational results (PUPP and VBE), deteriorating learning motivation and social-emotional environment for several years. However, in 2019 after the change of the management of the gymnasium, a variety of measures are being sought to motivate teachers to find new ways of motivating themselves and students, in order to improve both educational results and the working and emotional environment. The process of updating the educational content, which has started on a national scale, has become a great opportunity to rethink how the gymnasium team can better prepare for the upcoming changes and how to pay more attention in lessons not only to the content, but also to the development of competences. Since we already had very good experience and benefits of Erasmus projects, the project "Teaching based on competence development. 7K lesson" was very timely, logical and in line with the current affairs and needs of our school.
