Background

This project has been a result of the needs generated by the digital transformation of our education systems, accelerated by the COVID-19 crisis. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the technology has been used at an unprecedented scale, like never before. The digital transformation of our education had and continues to have an impact on the personal development of students and teachers who were not prepared for a long absence of physical contact with colleagues and peers and the educational ecosystem didn't have any mechanisms put in place to ensure a continuous wellbeing at school for all. To learn from the crisis and make education systems fit for the digital age while putting the human element back to the center of education, our project aimed at addressing the digital transformation of schools through the development of digital capacity to integrate new technologies and innovative teaching methods. The end objective was to improve the general wellbeing at school, that of the pupils, of the teachers and everyone else involved in the education process, with an impact also on the parents and local community.
