Background

The Asteroid Foundation applied for this project to address the critical need for inspiring and educating young people about space exploration, asteroids, and planetary defense. Recognising the potential of asteroids and the importance of fostering interest in space sciences, the project aimed to connect schools with astronauts and experts. The goal was to fill a gap in space education, providing students with access to renowned international experts through events like "Astro+Experts" sessions, "Technical Briefing," as well as "Asteroid Day Space Lecture 2023" sessions, and "Space Connects Us" live and virtual sessions. The project sought to ignite curiosity, diversity, and inclusivity among students, empowering them to become the next generation of space leaders.
