Objectives

The objectives of this project were: - to promote digital education to young people through local and international activities; - to develop in youngsters digital skills, soft skills and competencies useful for their personal and professional careers; - to show how digital transformation and sustainable development are linked in nowadays society, and how this connection could be productive; - to give young people tools to read, understand and process the information passing through social media, especially the diffusion of fake news and the consequential spreading of hate speech; - to put the bases for collaboration and follow-up projects at local and international level.

Background

This project aimed to promote digital education for youth, especially those with fewer opportunities, equipping them with competencies, skills, and digital tools to enhance digital awareness. Post-COVID, the surge in misinformation highlighted the urgency of digital literacy. Quality education must evolve with digital transformation, aligning with the SDGs Agenda 2030's emphasis on sustainability. Media literacy, vital for environmental goals, reduces physical waste by shifting to digital platforms. The project addressed needs of youth in each partner country- fostering digital connections, expanding capabilities, and providing disadvantaged youth with crucial skills.
