Autism Spectrum Disorder has reached incredible numbers. The number of people who self-diagnose today is increasing. The Covid pandemic has shown us that it is very difficult to adapt this category of population to new situations. The COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to stay physically distant from each other, have required us to make rapid changes to our everyday lives and broader society. The impact of the pandemic will likely be even more significant for autistic people, difficulties managing unexpected change and uncertainty, high risk of vulnerability, and health inequalities could all be magnified in the pandemic. The goal of this project was included in the title itself "Overcoming the Challenges of Autism During Uncertain times". With this project proposal, the project partners' aim was: -To bring 24 youth workers from across Europe to engage in an experiential learning programme with the leading experts in Europe in the area of Autism, inclusion and disability; -To define the challenges youngsters with ASD face in a pandemic like this, so staff, student/learners, Youth Disability workers, leaders, teachers, educators, trainers, facilitators and volunteers should know to ensure appropriate care and how can better anticipate and meet the needs of these particular young people; -To introduce to participants relevant and effective tools supporting ASD youth through physical and online activities as well to provide an opportunity to probe these methods in practice; -To use the international group of participants as a learning space on individual roles and competencies in relation to the topic of the training course; -What do we need to be aware of to address the issues of interest to autistic youngsters in the pandemic now, how can we address these issues, and make tangible recommendations to be addressed in future research, policy, and practice; -To share the best experiences and create new bridges of cooperation among our partner's promoters; -To develop participants` knowledge about Erasmus + program in order to ensure the ability of participants to work as multipliers and to be able to use a program in participants' further activities, thus raising the quality of projects implemented within the Erasmus + programme.
