Background

The project started on the 1st of March 2022 and ended on the 28th of February 2023. The three partners were Malta, Turkey (Gaziantep) and Slovakia (Kosice). This Erasmus project was the first experience for the three countries involved. Each participating country was eager to form part of this project. The students who attended Fortini Learning Support Centre came from social-economical disadvantages families. This project also helped refugees students since the centre also caters for Syrian students. Together with the participating countries, the issues related to early school leavers dropout rate and how to prevent it, were also addressed during the activities. Besides this, to promote a better understanding of inclusion, activities related to marginalised groups in society were given a priority. This was easily carried out because the school partners face similar problems. Therefore, this left room for discussion and these needs were addressed by means of this project.
