Go Green for the Environment is a project that wanted to raise awareness about environmental protection, sustainability, and the role of the youth in it. While writing the project application, we made a research among young people from our countries and we realized that young people in Europe and the Caribbean are not aware of the importance of environmental protection, or they don't know what they can do to improve the situation. We wanted to give tools and improve competences of young people and empower them to make a change in their local community and become active citizens. Objectives of our project were 1. To teach young people from 3 countries about different concepts connected with the protection of the environment, such as guerilla gardening, replanting trees, and others 2. To show good examples of environmental protection and youth activism about environmental protection from participating countries 3. To give tools to youth from 3 different countries, empowering them to make the change in their local community. 4. To educate 27 young people and group leaders about the sustainability and sustainable development goals 5. To create a safe space where youth can learn from each other, try something new and share their culture and values with others.
