The aim of the project was to improve the quality of school work by: 1. Optimizing the organization of the teaching and learning process, including foreign language teaching. 2. Raising the key competences of our students, in particular the "learning" competence of younger students. 3. Acquisition of skills allowing for more effective work with a student with SEN, in particular students with different sensory preferences and deficits.
The project involved teachers’ training aimed at improving digital and language competences with the introduction of the CLIL method and in working with SEN students. The activities carried out allowed us to achieve the above-mentioned goals and make the educational process of our students more attractive. SP9 Dzierżoniów is a primary school, educating children from the age of 7 (if parents are willing, from 6). Our students finish their education at the age of 14/15, completing the eighth grade. At Sp9 Dzierzoniów we implement two educational stages: the first one - Years 1-3 and the second one - Years 4-8. The students of our school are mainly children of families living in Dzierżoniów. A large group of children live in nearby villages and commute to school. For several years, students of Ukrainian and Belarusian nationality have also been compulsory at school. Our students are very diverse in terms of intellectual abilities - there is a group of 35 students with special educational needs who require support and the use of appropriate work methods. On the other hand, our students achieve success in competitions at the provincial and national levels. Students come from various social, economical and cultural backgrounds.
