Starting the project, the school set the following goals and assumptions: 1 Raising the level of use of new technologies and innovative teaching methods and implementing them in the everyday course of education. The implementation of this goal was to increase the key and practical competences of teachers, make lessons more attractive, develop students' abilities and interests, and improve the quality of teaching subjects thanks to the use of new technologies. 2 Improving the qualifications and professional skills of the staff and building the ability to engage in cross-border exchange and cooperation with entities from other EU countries. The school needs to strengthen the European dimension of education by establishing and expanding international contacts, which is particularly necessary in the implementation of EU projects and student exchanges. 3 Improving the level of exchange of best practices in teaching and school development. The implementation of this goal was to increase professionalism in the organization of school work (enriched with international experience) and to create appropriate interpersonal relations, promote the values of inclusion, diversity, tolerance and participation in democratic life.
Our organization is a high school offering education within several profiles. The school has 857 students aged 16-19 living in the city and surrounding towns. Students come from families of various backgrounds, with different housing and social conditions. There is an increased demand among students for the possibility of using new technologies and innovative teaching methods in the educational process. The school has experience in implementing projects co-financed from EU funds, e.g. Erasmus + and projects in cooperation with universities, non-governmental organizations, cultural institutions and schools from other countries. The project assumed improving the quality of education at school by 30 people (teachers and school employees) acquiring skills and competences as part of the mobility program in the period from 01/04/2022 to 30/03/2023. The main objective of the project was to learn about new technologies in teaching and learning as well as methods of creative and innovative approach in the educational process, implemented in two thematic blocks. During the training, teachers acquired the skills to create and use multimedia and learned how to reach students in an innovative way.
