The implementation of our project aimed to: 1 - Increasing the quality of education and upbringing through the participation of 20 teachers of ZSPS and 8 secondary schools in training in modern and motivational teaching methods in 2022-23, 2 - Learning about methods for increasing innovation in vocational and general education through participation in foreign training of ZSPS and 8 Secondary School teachers in 2022-23, 3 - Strengthening school safety through the participation of ZSPS and 8 LO teachers in health safety training in 2022-23. By implementing the project, we fully achieved all the assumed goals. The quality of the school's work improved through the implementation of innovative teaching methods by teachers participating in 30 Erasmus+ training courses. Teachers improved their linguistic, methodological, professional and cultural competences. They implement multiculturalism in classrooms, language classes and educational activities. Thanks to training in positive psychology, wellbeing and mindfulness completed by teachers, students are more willing to open up and talk about their problems and show greater trust in their teachers and guardians.
The school is a public institution run by the Municipality of Toruń. It has existed for 76 years and is very popular among students not only from Toruń but mainly from neighboring communes. The project "Modern staff at European level" was implemented from March 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023. 20 different specialties took part in 30 mobilities. The school applied for the implementation of this project to respond to the identified needs: improving the quality of education and upbringing, learning modern and motivational teaching methods in vocational and general education, and strengthening safety in our school. Through numerous applications for grants and the school's participation in EU projects, including: Socrates-Comenius, Erasmus+, Power, POKL "Closer to the employer" many teachers apply for a job at our school. The school was awarded a gold shield in the 2020 prospects ranking. The school's mission is to support the comprehensive development of students according to their needs and capabilities, creating a school that is safe and friendly and well prepares them for further education. The school systematically educates teaching staff to use modern teaching methods.
