There were three main goals of the project. Our aim was to spread knowledge about special needs students and their needs in school community. Only by knowing and understanding how children differ, can we integrate school community and promote tolerance. Next goal was to provide teachers with suitable trainings so that they can develop their teaching skills and feel more confident with their work. As a result, they were to be able to introduce inclusive education to our school. Next, we aimed at introducing changes in organization of school to adapt it better for special needs students by creating relaxations room for the students in need or public relaxation area at school.
Schooling Complex number 2 consist of Primary School Number 2 and 4th High School and is has 100 years of teaching experience. We educate children from 1 to 8th grade. The school conducts a number of additional educational activities which aim is to shape soft skills of our students. The basic need of our school in terms of mobility and European cooperation is to gain knowledge, tools and inspirations to introduce inclusive education and to develop techniques of working with a special needs student since the number of such students in mass school is constantly growing. There is a need to create environment to promote tolerance and stop exclusion among students. It is essential to take holistic action in order to improve well being of our students. As a result, the number of conflicts is to decrease. Next, it is significant to support teachers in terms of improving their teaching skills since they do not regard themselves as competent enough to work with a special needs student.
