Through non-formal, formal, and informal learning techniques, the YE's primary goal was to increase participant understanding about entrepreneurship and start-up businesses. Some of the participants were already employed or considering starting a new business, while others were simply considering their options for what to do when they finished high school or their education. With the help of this YE, we inspired young people to pursue careers in entrepreneurship, start-ups, new technologies, social media, and filmmaking. We also introduced non-formal learning strategies to the participants so they could become familiar with them if they hadn't had the chance to do so before. Giving youngsters the chance to work in a safe, foreign environment where they could learn from one another as well as the facilitators is crucial. Nowadays, teams in many corporations and businesses operating in the EU are made up of a variety of nationalities, thus it is beneficial to have prior experience working in an international team as a YE and developing your communication skills. During the Youth Exchange, young people were asked to prepare business ideas, cases and present them in front of the group. The main objective of this exercise was to encourage young people to have heated debates and show them how to use critical thinking and creativity to solve complex problems. What’s more, this workshop had an inestimable value for participants, because they had the opportunity to bounce their ideas with their peers and learned how to become better leaders and team players in a multicultural and diverse environment. Moreover, the participant broadened their vision to start and operate a business based on European values, such as respect and sympathy towards people from different backgrounds, human dignity, solidarity, non-discrimination, etc. They discussed important concepts, such as corporate social responsibility, equality, inclusion, empathy, and tolerance. The participants also discussed methods of working in multicultural environments and managing culturally diverse teams. This experience taught them how to respect people with different views, opinions, and values. Moreover, the team building activities helped youngsters with breaking down prejudices and stereotypes about their peers from different countries. One of the objectives of Erasmus+ program was to show that lifelong learning is essential throughout our lives. During this project, we wanted to develop the mindset of continuous learning in participants. Through non-formal and informal methods of teaching, we showed the importance of always being open to learning new things and challenging the old and less efficient ways of gaining knowledge. Participants worked together to create their own vision and mission about what they want to achieve with their business ideas and how they would help different societies. To sum up, the project encouraged the participants to enhance their entrepreneurial mindset and be more proactive in contributing to their societies. They developed critical thinking skills to find innovative solutions to the current social and economic challenges of our world. They developed their skills to deal with different people in various situations, calculate and manage risks, use the full potential of digital technologies, and make smart strategic decisions.
