"Too tasty to waste it!" was a common project of young people from Poland, Slovakia, and Bulgaria. Young people have noticed a huge problem of food waste, both in their countries and in Europe or in the world. Although they already cared about the environment, they noticed that they still have a lot to learn and a lot to change in their habits. Thanks to the implementation of the project, the participants raised the awareness of young people related to the problem of food waste and its negative effects/consequences and gained the necessary competencies that allowed them to change their habits to be more friendly to themselves, the environment, but also to the natural environment. The project achieved the following goals: - raised awareness related to the problem of food waste and raising awareness of the seriousness of the problem, threatening people and the natural environment; - raised awareness of the threats and negative effects of food waste (e.g. social, economic, and ecological consequences); - developed competencies that contribute to minimizing food waste (implementation of innovative and creative solutions that will prevent food from being thrown away); - exchange of experiences and good practices related to food waste prevention; - education, development, and promotion of positive changes and behaviors contributing to reducing food waste, and thus caring for the surroundings and the natural environment;
