Objectives

The project was our joint effort, created to meet our needs and develop our passions. It was implemented through non-formal education methods, involving our peers with fewer opportunities, supporting the enhancement of key competencies, intercultural learning and dialogue, stimulating creativity and innovation, and contributing to the promotion of European values such as respect, tolerance, against xenophobia and racism. Our main goal was to create a performance that would make our peers and adults reflect on their behavior, make them more aware, open to dialogue and have thoughtful discussions based on facts and knowledge. As a result, we were able to contribute to creating a society that is more informed and engaged in European integration processes that support rather than divide and discriminate. We also placed great emphasis on fostering intercultural dialogue by analyzing and discussing common cultural elements based on national legends. We wanted the project participants to feel European by jointly creating a theatrical performance and costumes and scenery from recycled materials, thus increasing environmental awareness and giving materials "new life." Our project aimed to raise awareness of important social issues such as respect, acceptance and pro-environmental attitudes, as well as develop competence in information technology such as live streaming and online tools. The collaboration on story sharing aimed to reinforce European values, break down prejudices and stereotypes, and promote an open European society, tolerance, respect and anti-radicalization attitudes through creative, artistic forms of expression such as literature, storytelling and theater.Through our exchange, we increased our self-initiative and critical thinking skills.
