By implementing the project, we wanted to make young people aware that difference is something natural, and understanding other people, their needs and goals is the basis for shaping good relations between neighboring countries. The aim of the "I understand, therefore I accept" project was to shape attitudes of tolerance and openness to other people among Polish and Ukrainian youth. This objective was assigned operational objectives such as: - improving knowledge and skills in the field of tolerance and acceptance, -strengthening soft skills in the field of interpersonal communication -learning conflict resolution methods - getting to know the culture of the neighboring country - breaking the barrier of speaking English - breaking stereotypes about Poland and Ukraine - increased self-confidence of project participants -personal development The main theme of the project was tolerance and understanding of differences, which leads to acceptance. The project was created before Russia began its military aggression against Ukraine, but it was implemented during the war, when Russia was conducting intensified hostilities, the victims of which were the relatives of people participating in our project.
