The aim of the project was to create a space where young people could experience active participation in social life and acquire soft skills necessary now and in the future when making decisions related to their career plans. The main goal of the project was to ensure that the youth participating in it had the means to actively participate in social life and, in the future, be equipped with diversified competences. We wanted to make young people aware of how important democracy is and that it is the most important value. Explain that the purpose of democracy is to create a diverse and tolerant society. For this to be possible, people must be able to speak freely and openly about what they imagine good governance to be like and to criticize those in power. We wanted young people to experience a sense of agency through workshops and meetings with people who contributed to the development of Polish and Ukrainian democracy. We are aware that participating in a project on democracy and tolerance for young people from a war-torn country is difficult and may evoke various emotions. However, we believe that we need to talk about it with young people and encourage them to be active in social life. Using the potential of young people, it was decided to apply a strategy of connecting and strengthening the position of young people internationally.
