The Youth Exchange ''United in Diversity'' was implemented because it is a response to our needs (both youth and organizations) as well as a reaction to the current reality - cultural and social changes taking place as well as the increasing number of migrants / refugees who come to our countries (in immigration crisis has been intensifying in recent years, especially in Europe). It is worth noting that the problems of social exclusion and marginalization, despite the 21st century, are very common in our world, they concern various individuals, social groups and entire countries, they take different forms. The theme of our project was all kinds of social exclusion and marginalization, as well as the fight against unfavorable phenomena such as racism, xenophobia, and hate speech. The main goals of our project were: conducting intercultural dialogue, building attitudes of tolerance and understanding for diversity, promoting equality, raising awareness of various types of exclusion and social marginalization, raising knowledge and awareness of racism and xenophobia. Through our activities, we wanted to show that marginalization and exclusion or discrimination may occur due to diversity, the more expressive one, e.g. skin color, ethnic origin, religion, culture and language, as well as in relation to various disabilities, education levels, social environment, economic situation, health condition or place of origin.
