The focus of the project was the new Erasmus+ program and its new opportunities that allows the participating organizations to create new partnerships, initiate projects and evaluate previous activities. The initiation of the accreditation process created new advantages for advanced methods and approaches that the organizations can utilize for international youth exchanges, as well as the training of personnel working with youth. Recent years of pandemic caused multiple limitations to many of us, which further increased the urge to create new proposals, to plan joint activities and to return to thinking about future, together. Considering the above, the project aimed at ensuring the beginning of new collaborations between the NGOs, especially given the fact that most of the participant NGOs have never worked together before. While some of the NGOs are already quite familiar with Erasmus+ youth accreditation, others are planning to apply for it yet and have less experience in the field. They were all curious and eager to find out more, thus the project, including only one mobility – Partnership Building Activity (PBA) in the form of a Professional Development Activity, united NGOs from various backgrounds and diverse objectives. It also allowed all partners to prepare to work in the new Program, establish rules of cooperation, plan youth mobility projects and learn about their development plans. The project involved initially 15 organizations, these are the NGOs from 10 countries (Poland, Romania, Greece, Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Lithuania, Republic of North Macedonia, and Italy). By implementing the project, we wanted to support likeminded organizations to get familiar with the new Erasmus+ Program and to prepare them for the implementation of high-quality projects in the field of youth work, including green projects and the exchange of previous experiences. The project further intended to develop youth workers’ capacity in the field of youth work and non-formal education, which includes the focus on green aspects of youth work and the broader inclusion of disadvantaged youth in international activities. In addition, the project supported the development of youth work at the local level, using tools available at the international level, including the promotion of the new Erasmus+ program and the provision of youth work in the spirit of environmental responsibility. Furthermore, the project aimed at establishing new partnerships at the international level among the organizations that are involved in organizing youth exchanges and youth worker mobilities within the framework of Erasmus+ accreditation and the new Erasmus+ program. Finally, the project took into consideration the promotion of international youth exchanges, since the awareness of the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program is still very low between the youth. The main objective of the project was to establish a sustainable partnership between 15 organizations and 30 youth workers from 10 countries and implement a program that ensures the organization of high quality international educational projects for youth and youth workers under Erasmus+, while promoting their visibility and a greater quality of youth work. The project furthermore had several specific objectives, such as the exchange of knowledge and experience related to the new Erasmus+ Program, particularly regarding the accreditation process and the implementation of international youth exchanges and youth worker mobilities. At the same time, developing common principles for the implementation of high-quality youth projects in the form of a Charter for High-Quality Youth Exchanged including rules on the organization of environmentally friendly projects. In addition, the project aimed at implementing a public awareness campaign to promote participation in international youth exchanges among youth and preparing a plan of joint activities for the next three years, including activities related to the inclusion of disadvantaged youth in international projects.
