By implementing Our Future we provided space for participants to create a long-term vision of the world they want to live in. Main objectives of Our Future were: -To create new visions of a world that brings motivation and direction to our actions. -To explore and learn from already existing alternative solutions. -To prepare actions that bring us closer to a vision of the world we want to live in. Additional objectives of Our Future were: -To develop skills of critical thinking, individual and collective envisioning, to create and implement social actions and to equip youth workers with tools that help them develop those skills with young people; -To promote existing alternative solutions in fields of communication, education, business, agriculture, showing that an alternative world is not only possible, but to some extent it is already there; -To bring back hope and motivation, often quenched due to the pandemic and its consequences; -To reinforce bonding among partners, creating long term collaboration plans based on a common vision of the world we created during this project; -To refresh youth work approaches and techniques to embrace a wider perspective; -To involve young people into collective dreaming, supporting them by giving tools to define their dreams, goals and directions; -To evaluate tools (with a focus on critical thinking as well as individual and collective envisioning) used during the training and improving them for further use after the project ends, with next target groups. Needs addressed by the implementation of Our Future: -Accepting that change is needed. Go beyond the actual worldview, which is showing its flaws. -Redefining our individual and collective goals, visions and dreams to be more in line with current challenges. -Joining forces in creating a common vision of the world beyond national and cultural borders. A vision young people own, that can give them motivation and strength to turn it into reality.
