Art of Inclusion 2 was a follow-up of the Training Course (Mobility of Youth workers) "Art of inclusion - incubator of mixed-ability projects", which took place in Szklarska Poręba in September 2021. With Art of Inclusion 2, we wanted to inspire and empower youth workers all around Europe to involve in their everyday sport/outdoor activities both youth with and without disability With Art of Inclusion 2 we also aimed to underline the uniqueness of outdoor and sports as a tool to breakany kind of social, cultural, language, interpersonal barriers. With already second edition of Art of Inclusion, we are working on promotion of mixed-ability activities – activities in which are actively involved youth with and without disabilities, as the most important and effective platform for inclusion and empowerment of young people with and without disability. With Art of Inclusion 2, we wanted to learn by doing that through sport is the best integration tool for youth without and with disabilities, as they interact with each other in a positive context, discovering each other abilities and talents, going through together all the winning and losing moments. This kind of experience is very bounding. For youth with motor, intellectual, mental disabilities, participation in mixed-ability outdoor/sport not only have great therapeutic impact, but also the enormous social and educational aspects. Nonetheless, the European Disability Forum states that today still “one out of two disabled persons has never participated in leisure or sport activities”. So that, the main mission of our project is to change those statistics and improve the current situation. With TC activities we aimed also to increase number of group outdoor /sport activities, which actively involve youth with/without disability. By implementing the project Art of inclusion 2, we aimed to achieve the following: 1.Explore nature of mixed-ability outdoor /sport activities; 2. Research and develop efficient ways to improve youth work of project partner organisations by implementing different types of mixed-ability outdoor /sport activities in everyday work 3. Exchange good practices and experience of already implemented successful projects and ideas of partner organisations. 4. Build new qualitative partnerships between various Program (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Greece) and Partner countries (Albania, Belarus, BiH, Ukraine). 5. Develop in youth workers important professional and personal skills and competences. 6. Create network of organizations that can continue fruitful cooperation after TC ends. 7. Create a network of organizations for fruitful cooperation even after the project concludes. 8. Create Manual for Youth workers on how to implement different types of mixed-ability outdoor /sport activities 2 important needs were addressed with our project: - need to create a space for youth workers to learn tools and methods on how to increase number of group outdoor /sport activities, which actively involve youth with/without disability; - need to exchange and learn new tools and methods on how to navigate young people with and without disability in that turbulent times; Another important achievement of this project is promotion of integration and inclusion of people with physical and mental disability on a broad scale, national and locally. Our partner organizations are playing in their countries important role in developing inclusive society, improving communities and promoting active sport life style among - both youth with and without disability. During our TC we discussed and shared on how to empower young people (with and without disability), promote physical activities, attract attention to its importance.
