Our objectives were: *to improve reducing, recycling and reusing processes, as well as the environmental awareness *to raise awareness of the conscious use of resources and how to use waste materials *to create awareness that every age group can contribute to these 3 proccesses (reducing, recycling and reusing) *to minimize the economic losses caused by non-recycling, to ensure that the health problems it will cause are minimized too *to learn good practices, to add new ones to our applications *to draw attention to the importance of reducing, recycling and reusing waste in students` families and the environment and to ensure that they are put into practice *to develop creativity *to strengthen communication between countries *to get to know new cultures *to see educational techniques and approaches in different cultures and educational systems *to leave a clean world where all living things can live *to start by educating the children and raising the awareness of their parents. Our objectives were linked to the priority "inclusion and diversity in all fields of education, training, youth and sport"; since the priority was health and people - one of the basic conditions of being healthy is living a clean environment.
Climate change and environmental degradation are an existential threat to Europe and the world. To overcome these challenges, Europe needs a new growth strategy that will transform the Union into a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy. The European Green Deal is the plan to make the EU's economy sustainable. We can do this by turning climate and environmental challenges into opportunities, and making the transition just and inclusive for all. These essential goals are also mentioned in the “Erasmus plus programme guide 2021”: “Environment and climate action are key priorities for the EU now and in the future. The European Green Deal Communication is the European new growth strategy and recognises the key role of schools, training institutions and universities to engage with pupils, parents, and the wider community on the changes needed for a successful transition to become climate neutral by 2050.” Taking these factors into consideration, our project focused on the importance of the three key processes: reducing, reusing and recycling of waste we produce in everyday life, as they are the key factors of sustainable living and they help to cut down on the amount of waste.
