Objectives

During the 24-month project, educational and professional opportunities (after distance learning) were equalized for 20 students and 24 teachers of partner schools in industries related to renewable energy and electricity. Additionally, the project included work on key competencies (including soft skills that were impaired during remote learning). The development of soft skills among project participants was noted. Additionally, participants improved their language skills, exchanged professional experiences and learned about modern technologies in the mentioned industries. Thanks to project activities, the attractiveness of vocational education has increased. It became more qualitative because the project adopted a holistic approach, support was provided to both students and teachers who could exchange experiences, learn about modern solutions, participate in workshops, discussion panels, study visits and historical and cultural trips.

Background

The implementation of the project was a response to needs of equalization of educational and professional opportunities (after distance learning) among 20 students and 24 teachers of partner schools in related industries of renewable energy and electricity. One of the most important reasons for implementing the project was the continuation of international cooperation, which contributes to improving the quality of the school's work and shaping an attitude of openness to other cultures. A particularly valuable aspect of the project was gaining experience in learning, comparing and implementing teaching systems from another European country. Significante in this context was the opportunity to educate and constantly improve language skills both in everyday and professional situations, as well as professional and intercultural competences. Preparing a student to design their own educational and professional career path requires equipping them with theoretical and practical knowledge. In the case of project participants, the practical approach to vocational education was disrupted by the introduction of distance learning. It is essential to update and enrich forms of work based on patterns developed in other institutions.
