First of all, it was important to establish good cooperation between the partners, which is crucial to the success of the project. Both sides wanted to obtain as much information as possible about the activities of each unit and how they implement the training process. ID has experience in implementing vocational courses, but lacks the knowledge of modern digital technologies that can be used in imparting substantive and practical knowledge. 3DL has specialized in teaching materials in VR, AR, MR, but has no experience in VET. The exchange of experience and transfer of knowledge between partners was key to developing the result envisioned in the project proposal. When establishing cooperation, the partners wanted to develop a training program and teaching materials for effective VET education in RES. However, it was important not to develop general information, as these are usually available. Here it was about well-prepared factual and detailed educational materials that will realistically support the educational process. An important element of the project was the discussion undertaken on the use of VR for effective knowledge transfer in VET education.
The Institute of Consulting has been conducting training courses for RES installers for many years. It also cooperates with several vocational schools and is aware of their problems with inadequate teaching materials on RES, including heat pumps. At the same time, he wants to implement state-of-the-art digital solutions in his business. Therefore, it decided to work with a foreign partner to develop attractive and substantive course curricula to increase consistency with the needs of schools, employers and market requirements. Indeed, analysis carried out prior to the project showed that participants in vocational courses have needs to supplement skills relating to new technological challenges and adaptation to the changing environment at workplaces, and employers require more advanced competencies in staff.
