Objectives

MAIN OBJECTIVE: - Promote the social inclusion of vulnerable youth (emphasis on women, ethnic minorities, migrants and youth with disabilities). SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: O1. Build the capacity of youth workers (YT) and organizations to adopt inclusive communication and to raise awareness of its adoption among young people and the community at large; O2. Give young people - particularly those with fewer opportunities - the possibility to explore inclusive communication issues and understand how to apply them in their daily lives O3. Demystify situations of social vulnerability in favour of diversity and equity.

Background

Even though Europe is diverse when we analyze the generalized way in which institutional and social communication is carried out, we realize that communication persists that is not adjusted to the plurality of citizens and, therefore, it is discriminatory and excludes. The inapplicability of inclusive communication also happens on the part of vulnerable groups, who are still not aware of the importance of communication and language for deconstructing stereotypes and prejudices and avoiding the consequent discriminatory attitudes caused by an inadequate way of communicating. -YW need to know how to deal effectively with diversity and how to enhance inclusive and cohesive social systems effectively; -Young people need to receive the necessary support in their development and growth process so that they can demystify situations of social vulnerability and adopt European values in their daily lives, for example, by adopting behaviours of tolerance, respect, citizenship and fairness, mainly through the adoption of inclusive communication and language towards all (a common need in society in general).
