Starting from the context described, the needs of the seniors and of the Edupurtus Association, we considered that the trainers are the ones who, with their new skills, could satisfy these needs. That is why we designed as objectives for trainers: 1. The acquisition, by 8 trainers of the association (at the evaluator's request), of knowledge, skills, techniques and strategies regarding the inclusive education of senior adults, through digitization and interculturality. 2. Acquiring skills to develop innovative activities by integrating digitization and interculturality. 3. The discovery of European learning practices and attractive digital resources, as supports for social inclusion, increasing the participation of seniors and increased flexibility for trainers. The two courses provided trainers with knowledge, skills, working practices with seniors and digital resources that can be integrated into activities. By capitalizing on the results, the Edupurtus Association will visibly improve its access to senior groups, the quality of the activities offered, and managed to create synergies in the field of senior inclusion through partnerships with the Pensioners' Club, Slatina City Hall, the County Museum and the County Library.
1. The regional context. Senior adults, after retirement, they no longer find their place in society, are marginalized based on age and reduced digital skills, face crisis situations due to reduced participation in their community life, negative feelings and uselessness and are not prepared to have an active ageing. They need practical and life skills to be able to participate actively in the life of the community. 2. The community could capitalize on the life experiences of the seniors, people of various specializations, who can become volunteers, can replace the deficient labor force, would make their presence felt through their organizational spirit and vision on the valorization of cultural heritage for educational purposes. 3. The needs of the Edupurtus Association. The association needs to improve the quality of the activities offered to seniors, in order to create regional synergies in the field of inclusive education for seniors. Therefore, its trainers need specific skills, resources and strategies for social inclusion of seniors, knowledge and skills related to current European techniques for inclusive education of seniors, models of collaboration within the community.
