In the beginning of the ideation phase, we wanted to find ways to be more sustainable. Together with our partners, we held regular online meetings to discuss upcoming needs and potential solutions. We concluded that the fear-based approach used in the environmental movement was ineffective, overloading people with data and making them feel bad, including the young people from our communities. Following the needs assessment and carefully reviewing the new Erasmus+ guide and its objectives and standards, we established the following objectives for this project: During the 11-month project, the 25 youth workers would develop their knowledge of ecology, nature, sustainability, and the environmental-friendly approach when designing projects, activities, and non-formal educational methods. By the end of the project, the 25 youth workers would be able to create and implement green sectorial strategies, methodologies, and non-formal educational methods, and will develop sustainability competencies. By the end of the 11 months, the 25 participants would develop a more proactive attitude towards becoming true agents of change by implementing green non-formal methods in their daily work with young people and actively promoting a change of mindset and behavior among youth. We are happy to say that our objectives were met, participants learned more about green NFE and they are excited to continue their work and their E+ journey.
