Obj. 1 – Increasing the involvement of young people, from each country participating in the project, in solving community problems related to greening and agriculture, by stimulating new approaches and ideas. Traditionally, young people have been involved decision-making processes only to a limited extent. It has been observed, however, that inviting young people to cooperate in solving local problems can bring a new perspective and new and fresh ideas and can stimulate thinking to go beyond traditional ways of approaching the problems. Such new methods and ideas are, perhaps, more appropriate for the development of contemporary society. Obj. 2 – Developing interest in volunteering as a form of participation through which young people will be empowered to act for the benefit of the community they belong to. Through greening activities organized voluntarily, young people will feel that they are part of a community and that they can do something, so this community goes in the right direction. Obj. 3 – Development of new relationship, language and leadership skills for the ten young people from each country participating in the project, from rural areas, fact which leads to increased self-confidence.
The young people involved in the project come from geographically disadvantaged or rural areas. In these areas we identified various needs: - The need to promote ways of carrying out organic farming activities that produce organic products that are more in demand on the market. -promotion of pro-ecological behaviour among young people and their communities. -The need to carry out activities in the community, ensuring group cohesion and the idea of young people belonging to the community. The needs of the young people involved in the project coincide with the needs of the organisations; young people want to have the opportunity to get involved in the life of their locality, but they need to be stimulated to do so. Through this project, they have had the opportunity to be usefully involved in the life of their community.
