Objectives

1. Helping 28 disadvantaged young people (from the beneficiaries of the partner organizations) to feel more included in the society by developing their self-esteem. 2. Offering the opportunity for 28 disadvantaged young people to develop their dancing skills, personal and interpersonal skills. 3. Promoting inclusion and the development of self-esteem trough dancing and non-formal education by creating a professional documentary and short YouTube videos on this topic.

Background

Both partner organization work with young people facing fewer opportunities and we are always looking for opportunities to help them develop. By working with them on a weekly basis we realized that we are often faced with a major problem: their lack of trust in themselves is a barrier in their development and in social interactions. We tried several methods to improve this self-trust and we realized that the methods that they are responding the best to are the ones that are giving them some sort of pleasure. When they do something they enjoy and they see they are doing it well, their self-trust is slowly improving. Our beneficiaries are having these needs: - Feeling appreciated - Feeling seen - Understanding themselves better - Work closer together with other youth - Travel and discover new cultures - Making friends - Understanding their own barriers - Thinking more positive - Being more optimistic about the future - Developing their social skills - Discovering a new hobby that can occupy their time - Having more personal achievements - Being seen and listen to - Expressing their ideas freely
