The project had several goals: 1. Gaining adequate knowledge about methods and procedures of COB 2. Integration of gained knowledge about methods and procedures of the COB in the plan of work of the Team for professional orientation and in extracurricular activities 3. Usage of the methods and procedures of the COB by the team for the “Professional orientation” After completing the training, teachers and professional associates gained insight into the way of applying COB in the professional orientation of adult participants. This way of valuing informally acquired knowledge is particularly interesting because it is not applied or valued in the Republic of Serbia. By implementing the project, we wanted to empower teachers and professional associates to do the best possible professional orientation of adult students and help them to present themselves in the labor market as well as possible.
With the implementation of this project we strive to learn about COB methods and procedures which will enable us to train our school stuff in order to use it. Furthermore with the implementation of the methods and procedures of the COB we will be able to provide adequate assistance to our Roma adult learners concerning validation of informally and non-formally gained competencies and to offer them according educational measures. Branko Pesic Elementary School is a state school, attended by drop out pupils, mainly from vulnerable social groups, with children and adults from unhygienic settlements, eg. slums, pupils without residence, children and adults deported from Western European countries, and in the last 6 years many teenagers from the Asylum Center, and thus is sensitized to adaptation of teaching and educational process to the needs of the aforementioned type of pupils. In order to provide our adult learners from the Roma minority group we decided to apply for COB training course in order to provide them possibility for validation of their informally and non-formally gained competencies.
