The general goal of the project was to develop the capacity of young people and youth organizations for activism through the use of digital innovative technologies and tools for greater involvement of civil society in current national, transnational and European-level problems. The change theory we set while conceiving the project was based on the snowball effect, which results we cannot directly measure at the moment. To measure the impact of such a broad objective we will use indicators from our three-year-long strategic plan. Specific objectives: SO1 Support innovative and atypical practices in the use of digital technologies and tools that have had positive results in communities in Serbia and Romania SO2 Network different actors through discussion and mapping of positive examples of the use of digital technologies and tools SO3 Empower young people to act in the field of digital activism through the development of capacities, knowledge and skills SO4 Influence the sustainability of project results at the national, transnational and European level through the dissemination of collected practices, ideas and learning outcomes
#Digitism has been founded on the premise that, even though young people are familiar with digital technologies more than older generations, they need to be strengthened further so that they can utilize innovative and ever-emerging technologies in their initiatives and activism practices. The project recognized that young people do believe that they can change something with digital tools, but it also noticed a need for an exchange of practices and direct brainstorming of potentially new practices that are not tried out in a particular way (situation or theme, etc). As the project was conceived during the pandemic, it especially focused on the fact that digital tools are sometimes all tools we have for activism, and so it explored the possibility of creating all-digital activities, initiatives, campaigns, etc. Most activities of both partners are physical and until the covid-19 pandemic, both of us focused on exclusively physical activities, so the project addressed the need of strengthening partners' staff, activists, volunteers, and other members. It saw the need for adjustment of programs and activities of partners not only during the pandemic but also beyond it, as more and more activities will now focus on digital world.
