Objectives

The main idea of this project was to motivate young people to use sport and physical activity as tool for increasing their active participation in society and to foster social inclusion of young people. Also we wanted to enhance the personal development of the participants, so that they act as multipliers of the gained knowledge within their organizations and their local communities. Sport is an effective tool for developing young people's leadership skills. Young people are willing to take part in active employment activities, sports events, however more often when one or more enthusiasts come together to form groups and then bring participants to the event. Young people often lack the will to take the initiative to organize, form teams and implement ideas. Therefore, participants developed these skills in the project: they learnt to form teams, manage groups and join together for a common goal. We promoted sport by organizing sports clubs and running event with the aim of involving young people and children with fewer opportunities in social life. And explored the concept of leadership through sport. The aim of the project was to develop personal leadership skills, using sports as a tool to increase social inclusion and active participation in public life. Project objectives: 1. To provide participants with knowledge and practical skills in developing leadership skills; 2. To teach leadership skills to apply in practice - through sports and physical activities; 3. To acquaint participants with the benefits of sports for increasing social inclusion.
