The process of healing one's relationship with the "other," encompassing fellow human beings, the environment, and the biosphere, required healing the relationship with oneself first. In the past couple of years, based on our work with young people, we noticed that they had been increasingly living in a manner that seemed detached from Earth's Biosphere, as well as from their own sense of Self. This sense of dissociation led to a profound detachment, which was evident in how individuals treated their own bodies and emotions. Unsurprisingly, this inner discord was mirrored in the way they interacted with their extended body, the Earth. Our project had goals and objectives we wanted to achieve: - Develop ecological consciousness among participants. - Raise awareness about climate change and deep ecology principles. - Reevaluate values and lifestyles for personal and planetary health. - Foster a healthier relationship with the body and biosphere through connection and awareness. - Break down distinctions between individuals and their environment, promoting interconnectedness. - Establish foundations for a collective inner ecology. - Acquire sustainable practices for addressing climate change and balanced living aligned with natural resources. Create a partner network for ongoing topic exploration. Promote other Erasmus+ initiatives addressing the issue. We wanted young people to understand more about climate change and how nature works deeply. Our mission was to get everyone thinking more about how our actions affect the planet. The project helped us to learn practical ways to deal with climate change and live in a way that's kinder to our bodies and the planet's resources. We took time to look at our values and how we live. We saw that changing these things could make us healthier and also help the Earth. The project was a great start for all of us as a group to, build better connections—with our own bodies, with nature, and with each other. We realized that the walls we put between ourselves and nature weren't helping. Breaking down those walls helped us feel how everything is connected. The path to transformation began with an essential experience of connectedness with oneself. As individuals took on the responsibility for their personal well-being and health, they simultaneously cared for the Earth. This served as the cornerstone for establishing a collective inner ecology. The focus shifted toward cultivating a proper relationship with one's Body, one's Being, Earth, and fellow humans. With that being said, our project objectives included raising awareness about climate change and deep ecology principles, attaining a heightened ecological consciousness, adopting effective strategies to combat climate change and lead more sustainable lives in harmony with the body's needs and the replenishable natural resources available. The initiative entailed a reevaluation of values and lifestyles, benefiting both personal physical and mental health, as well as the planet's well-being. The central aim was to embrace healthier connections, both with one's own body and with the biosphere, rooted in connection, identification, and mindfulness. The rigid boundaries that had been drawn between humans and their environment were dismantled, facilitating an enriched sense of interconnectedness. As a result, the groundwork for a collective inner ecology was laid. Collaborative efforts were made to establish a network of partners dedicated to this cause. Additionally, the promotion of other initiatives within the Erasmus Plus framework that addressed similar issues was actively encouraged.
