The aim of the project was to empower groups of young people from the participating countries, Slovenia, Turkey, Lebanon and Egypt, in the field of promotion and awareness raising about women's and girls' rights, gender equality and gender protection and prevention of gender based violence. The project sought to strengthen young people in the aforementioned areas and equip them with knowledge and understanding of gender equality, the rights of women and girls, the causes, types and consequences of gender-based violence, methods and tools for raising awareness, education and protection of women and girls' rights and gender equality. The goal was also that the participating young people, who already work as volunteers in all four organizations and raise awareness about the dangers of discrimination and violence against women, can perform their tasks even more independently with the newly acquired skills and methods. At the same time, the goal was to test these new skills and knowledge already during the project by implementing smaller campaigns to raise awareness of gender equality. At the same time, the general goal of the project was to contribute to an inclusive society, the prevention of violence, discrimination, stereotyped thinking and the promotion of inclusion and tolerance, especially the prevention of gender-based discrimination and violence against girls and women. The goal was to break patterns of aggressive and violent behaviour that are passed down from generation to generation, especially in more neglected and conservative parts of the partner countries and among minorities or migrants. The aim was to engage young people in processes and initiatives aimed at combating violence and discrimination against girls and women.
