Digital youth workPhysical and mental health, well-beingQuality and innovation of youth work

Objectives

Our main goal of the project was to promote digital youth work and create a set of leadership skills based on the 4 pillars of courageous leadership. With the "Heart of bold leadership" project, we primarily wanted to create a set of skills for youth workers (the mental leadership part of the 4 pillars of leadership according to Dr. Brene Brown's program, on the basis of which, through the innovative use of online platforms: Podcast, virtual exhibition... they deepened the acquired knowledge and expanded the results ). After hearing from many youth organizations and seeing the general research, we saw that the first need is to recover the mental health of youth workers and enable them to cope with the current times of the pandemic. The pandemic has hit the youth sector hard: very few organizations have been able to cope with their "new normal". We thought about a special program that, with concrete steps, would influence the in-depth strengthening of their skills. That is why our idea of the "Heart of bold leadership" project was born, which is actually part of the licensed program of Dr. Brene Brown, Human Connection Specialist. Our training was therefore based on an empirically based courage-building program that helps youth workers, leaders and youth organizations build the skills needed to innovate, develop and succeed in a rapidly changing world (especially the current COVID-19 pandemic). We focused on developing courage-building skills with a focus on the four pillars of bold leadership (Facing Vulnerability, Realizing Values, Building Trust, Overcoming Failures). With the program, we went through the fundamental skills that allow youth workers to do things they often avoid - initiate difficult conversations, make the best decision, even if it's not popular, and choose what's right, what's quick or easy. We were faced with a different view of the conventional wisdom of leading people. Our training session was an opportunity to learn about a new and better approach to leadership. Mobility of youth workers: # Part 1: The 4 Pillars of Dare to Lead™ Skills Dr. Brene Brown: - Dealing with vulnerability - Realization of values - Building trust - Overcoming falls # Part 2: LAB WORK - Motivational video and global guest - Preparation for the ONLINE PODCAST of the FORUM Round Table event, led by the participants and guest experts. Concrete conversations that unlock the depth of the human part of who we are, so that we can live, love and lead with more courage and heart, about vulnerability, rejection, perfectionism, the discomfort of youth workers - Creation and design of a virtual storytelling exhibition for the "Heart of Bold Leadership" post-project event (employee mental health awareness and steps for independent leadership growth) Objectives: - To offer a general overview of the challenges faced by youth organizations in the context of the pandemic - Present the existing practices of providing youth work services and activities that should be adapted by youth non-governmental organizations, as well as the online tools used - To map the discovered needs of youth non-governmental organizations to respond to the needs and interests of young people - Develop skill sets for youth workers and relevant stakeholders to further support the development of the youth sector (4 pillars of leadership) - Develop your own PODCAST of the FORUM round table event with specific conversations - Design your own VIRTUAL Storytelling exhibition - Promote digital youth work and acquire leadership skills based on 4 pillars After hearing from many youth organizations and seeing the general research, we saw that the first need is to recover the mental health of youth workers and enable them to cope with the current times of the pandemic.
