The main objective of this project was to improve the competencies of youth workers and organizations regarding crisis management. In this way, they will be able to offer more appropriate support to the young people they usually work with and better implement their project and daily activities. The needs for the implementation of the project arose from the situations that youth workers encounter in their daily work or while working on projects. Given that the aforementioned situations represent unforeseen and stressful situations for youth workers in all organizations, the need for education on the topic of crisis management has arisen. The project addressed two types of crisis management and increasing the competence of its implementation: a) crisis management as a result of problems, errors and challenges during project implementation. So, these are cases of deviations from the originally planned activities in the implementation of the project. b) crisis management as a result of sudden crisis events. In the last year and a half, it has been the Covid-19 epidemic at the global level. in addition, such situations are primarily natural disasters (fires, earthquakes, floods...), which our project partners have also witnessed. The main difference between the two approaches/cases is that in the first case there are deviations from the originally foreseen scenarios, while in the second case crisis situations appear suddenly. The time and methods of reaction are also different between the two cases. The idea of the project was to combine the experiences of the project partners and only build on them. Our partners gained experience: - with own youth work - by participating in projects on the topic of crisis management. With this project, we wanted to combine the knowledge gained from three projects (Experience Exchange in Youth Work (2019, Slovenia), Youthrise: crisis management and self-motivation of young people practices (Italy, 2021), Who you gonna call (Croatia, 2021) ). The first mentioned project (Slovenia) refers to point a) of crisis management, and the other two projects to point b). The second mentioned project (Italy) related exclusively to the subject of crisis management on the topic of Covid-19, while the last mentioned project (Croatia) addressed a wider range of crisis situations (fires, earthquakes, migration, covid...). Some of the partners participated in at least one mentioned project, some in two, none of the partners were involved in all three projects. Only the Czech partner did not participate in any of the mentioned projects. The project upgrade was carried out as: - combining knowledge and experience - creation of tools to help with crisis management. In the three projects mentioned so far, examples of practices were mainly presented and an open discussion was held. On this project we will build on that by making tools. Continuation or the upgrade of the aforementioned activities was foreseen already in the first project from 2019, which was carried out in Slovenia. In all projects, it was also established that more time is needed for better preparation of tools. All projects were 5 days long. It turned out that this was not enough for better preparation of tools. In this project, the priority was the creation of a tool (manual/instructions) for the implementation of crisis management in youth organizations. In the first part of the project, there was a presentation and exchange of experiences, followed by the production of the tool.
