Objectives

The main goals of the project were to empower young people to enter the labor market, educate young people about their rights on the labor market and encourage young people to think more broadly about the labor market and take action in the event of violations of their rights, as well as to encourage young people to become more involved in society. The goals are the same as we set for ourselves in the project application form and we did not change them during the project. As we predicted in the application, it turned out again that young people do not know their rights on the labor market, so we empowered and informed them in this area through an innovative method of education, which took place through an escape room game. So we decided to educate young people through entertainment. After the visit to the escape room, there was an educational part that also included the participation of young people. That the goals were achieved is clearly shown by the sensible and well-argued suggestions made by the participants of the escape room. An oral evaluation followed, where the participants unanimously expressed the opinion that it was an excellent move by the trade union, as it gave the young people the information they urgently need for an empowered entry into the labor market in a friendly and innovative way. Among the other goals were the goals of acquiring new competencies for our activists. As members of the project working group, they participated in the management and implementation of the project, and at the same time acquired new and upgraded existing competencies related mainly to project management, implementation of project activities, etc. The goal was also to stimulate interest among decision-makers in the situation of young people on the labor market and to open a discussion about the precariousness of the labor market and the search for solutions. We did this at the final conference, which we prepared on March 27th in cooperation with MDDSZEM and the State Council, and which took place in the Great Hall of the State Council. In addition to young people, we also invited many experts from the field of youth and the labor market to the conference. We concluded the project and the conference with the adoption of the Declaration of the Action Plan for the Elimination of Precarity. The action plan was supported by many decision-makers: trade unions, the Ministry of Labour, the Employment Agency, the State Council, youth organizations and many others.
