At the beginning of the programme, we organized ice-breaking and teambuilding activities which were picked and implemented by the facilitator who has a broad experience with such workshops since he had participated in more than 15 projects and already organized own youth exchanges before. Some of the activities came from inspiration from other projects and some of them from official handbooks issued by the Slovakian National Agency. The sessions with purpose to teach the participants some information (for example workshops about the topic of our ecological footprint, etc.) used the methods of active participation. In practice, in some workshops the participants themselves looked for the information while they were subsequently under the guidance of the facilitator who was completing their presentation presenting to others. Environmental day was one of the activities where a small change needed to be done. The participants brainstormed, planned and implemented at a large-scale awareness-raising event for the local community just as planned. The change was about the mentioned green pyramid, which could not be preserved from the previous exchange. Because including in the environmental a green pyramid would be difficult (we had decided to implement the environmental day on the main square in Sturovo and that required a bus ride as well as a walking trip); the participants made instead various posters connected to the topic. In the square, we then presented our project, our posters, and one speaker from each country spoke about environmental protection in his/her own country. We also gave flyers to local people. Some activities required communication with more stakeholders. This was the case, for example, with cleaning the environment at the venue or planting a tree. In this case, the facilitator communicated with the venue everything that was needed (allowance, guidance, safety, etc.). The organization of the excursion to Sosoto/Nyiregyhaza was more challenging in comparison with the other activities. Hungary and Slovakia covered the logistical side of the activity by providing a private bus from a company with which it has positive previous experience. The facilitator had managed to arrange an excursion to a botanical garden, where we also listened to a lecture about environment protection in Slovaikia and about the work of the Hungarian organizations focusing on this topic. We have decided that this was the perfect way how to show the participants the work of Slovakian environmental organizations and the social aspect of environmental protection in an interesting and memorable way. The activity of intercultural evening was organized by both the facilitator and participants. The facilitator had planned the evening based on previous experience with adequate activities. The participants contributed by preparing their presentations and presenting the things that they brought from home (as they were told in advance). The evaluation activities were organized by the facilitator who was picking the specific methods based both on own experience and official handbooks for such activities issued by the Slovakian National Agency. Another objective was intercultural learning, inclusion of disadvantaged participants, and learning how to work in groups. During the programme, we had our intercultural night, when the participants presented their background, cultural traditions and the countries in general. Although the intercultural night had already happened during the previous exchange in Slovakia , we decided that it would be beneficial to repeat this activity as a part of the participants was different from those who were last year. Another activity designed to meet the objective of learning about the social and practical aspect of environmental protection was the excursion to Sosto/Nyiregyhaza, where the participants gained information on how local organizations worked within the mentioned field. Another objective of the exchange was to show the participants specific means how to help environmental protection on all local, regional and global levels, and also dive deeper into the social aspect of environmental issues and provide practical information and inspiration how to take action (i.e. organizing of events regarding environmental protection). This knowledge was acquried by organizing our own environmental day. The ideas for the environmental day were brought up by the participants themselves under the guidance of the facilitator. The results were that the participants shared their knowledge by speaking to the locals.
